Adam Wade Cleeter

Adam Wade Cleeter, 43, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital, losing his battle with Covid-19. He was born September 22, 1977, in Lawrenceburg, IN, son of Ken Cleeter and Sharon (Shelton) Cleeter.

Prior to moving to Indianapolis, he attended Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and later in life, The Bridge of Hope Worship Center.

He graduated from South Dearborn High School in 1996 where he played baseball and soccer. He graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management. He was employed by Amos Exteriors, Indianapolis, Indiana. Adam was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron, Post #231 Aurora, Indiana.

Adam loved many things in life including time with family and friends. He was an avid racing fan, enjoying NASCAR, Indy Car and NHRA drag racing. He also enjoyed professional baseball, basketball and football as well as college sports. He was known for his love of animals, rescuing many stray dogs and cats. He also saved any turtle that he might find trying to cross a road or highway.

Adam is survived by his loving parents, Ken & Sharon Cleeter; sister, Kelly Jo (Mark) Morris; his beloved Hannah and son, Jesse; nephew, Ryker Morris; nieces, Harper & Holland Morris; numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond (Doris) Cleeter, and Jesse (Frances) Shelton.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember Adam on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Grace Church of the Valley, 1709 Nowlin Ave, Greendale, Indiana with Pastor Roger Webb presiding. Visitation will start at 5:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm.

Memorials for Adam may be made to the Progress House, Indianapolis, Indiana. Memorials will be accepted at the visitation or at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
