Aaron R. Mackinder

Aaron Russell Mackinder, of Dearborn County, Indiana was called to his heavenly home on August 15, at the age of 27.

Born on March 29, 1996, to Rachel and Alan Mackinder, Aaron spent most of his childhood years in Sunman and Bright, Indiana before graduating from Beechwood Independent High School, in Fort Mitchell Kentucky in 2014.

Aaron began experiencing seizures at the young age of 9. However, throughout his life, he never let it dim his sense of humor, passion, or dreamer mindset.

He was an avid video gamer, but it was his love for family that truly defined him. Aaron cherished the family get-togethers, especially moments spent gathered around the tv watching ball games or around the table playing board and card games that brought joy and laughter to all.

A sports enthusiast, Aaron could rattle off multiple football stats and was the ultimate #1 Cincinnati Bengals fan who also enjoyed cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Nashville Predators.

Known as a chicken wing addict and a self-proclaimed “best re-heater of french fries in the world” Aaron expressed his self-confidence and genuine personality with everyone he encountered.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Rachel; siblings Cheyenne (Josh) Oldfield, Trent (Sabrina) Mackinder; half-siblings Daphne and Houston; grandfather Rus (Sharon) Bailiff; aunts Stephanie (Carey) Bush and Rhonda (Rick) Moorman; first cousins Anthony (Alyssa) Moorman, Anna (Ryan) Ibold, Taylor Maher, Beth (Leanna) Moorman, Austin Maher, and numerous second cousins.

Aaron was preceded in death by his dear Mimi, Carolyn Bailiff.

As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate Aaron’s life together. Friends and family are welcome to join us for a memorial service to honor him on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Bright Christian Church at 6:30pm.
