The St Louis Golf Team travelled to Brookville Thursday night to face off against Franklin County and Batesville in a golf match. St Louis did well to come in second place, just edging out Franklin County by 1 stroke.
Evan Volgelsang led the way for the Cardinals with a 45, followed by Brandon Simmermeyer with a 48, Jacob Deutsch with a 56, Zeb Streator with a 59, Aaron Weber, Abe Streator, and Brendon Imel with 63s, and Cayden Pohlman with a 65.
Next up for the Cardinals is the Batesville Middle School tournament this Saturday at Cricket Ridge.

The Batesville Middle School golf team had a very successful match with Franklin County and St. Louis after finally having a match that wasn’t cancelled due to rain. The team was ecstatic with their overall win with a low score of 177 over St. Louis 208 and Franklin County at 209.
Batesville’s Drew Wagner was the medalist with a career low of 41, with Joe Cerniglia one stroke behind at 42. Also for The Bulldogs, Brett Wagner at 44, Austin Pohlman at 50, and Kyler Daulton at 53 were all personal bests. Chase Cummings carded a solid 48 followed by Sam Bowman with 50 and Sarah Ronnebaum with 65.
The team closes out their season with an invitational match at Cricket Ridge golf course on Saturday morning.
