Alfred Eugene “Alfie” Huffman, 81, of Aurora, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016.
He was born Saturday, March 3, 1934 in Indiana, son of the late Orville Huffman and the late Rosa Gillespie Huffman.
Alfred worked in construction, but also worked as a plumber and electrician. He was an overall handyman. Alfred enjoyed wood working, family gatherings, playing the guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin and harmonica. He had a good sense of humor, and was a real jokester. He also enjoyed riding his four wheeler, playing horseshoes and was always watching cowboy shows and WWE Wrestling.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Witte Huffman; son, Donald Huffman; step children, Tim Witte and Michelle Schymik; granddaughter, Whitney Huffman Howe; grandchildren Ethan and Morgan Schymik, Mason Earls and Lane Witte; great grandchildren, Maleah Todd and Rylan Howe, siblings, Anna Mae Kuebel and Gerald Huffman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and Mark Huffman, Rosco Huffman, Charles Huffman and Joyce Burgess.
Friends will be received Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Dearborn Baptist Church, 9636 SR#48, Manchester, Indiana from 11:00- 1:00 pm.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm at the church, with Pastor Gordon Shinkle officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hogan Hill Cemetery in Aurora, Indiana.
