Ruth Grace Hessler, 93, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born April 17, 1922 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Samuel J. and Polly Ann (Henry) Wilson.
Grace graduated from Greensburg High School in 1940. She was a member of the First Church of God in Greensburg. She loved sharing inspiration with others through poems.
She also loved flowers and watching the birds in her backyard.
She was married to Ralph Earl Hessler on May 20, 1940 and he preceded her in death on September 26, 1995.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Ruth Ann) Hessler, Greensburg, Steven (Shannon) Hessler; three daughters, Beverly “Becky” Walls, Greensburg, Dianne Kay Smith, Greensburg, Linda (Charles) Greiwe, Greensburg; eight grandchildren, Wendy, Erik, and Jacob Hessler, Mark Walls, Jolene Kelly, John (Cindy) Adams, Mike and Tim Greiwe; two great grandchildren, Johnny Adams, Justice Kelly-Burge; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one brother, Lowell Wilson; two sisters, Beatrice Large, Ethel Leona Wilson; one grandson, Matthew Walls; son-in-law, Dwayne Walls.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 to 1:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Feighner officiating.
Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery.
