The St. Louis 7th grade basketball team hosted the visiting South Dearborn Knights last nite at the St. Louis Activity Center. St Louis seemed a bit sluggish to start the game but managed to take a lead into half with a score of 18 – 8. The Cardinals picked up the offense and the defense in second half and pushed the lead to 18 points after three quarters of play. The team continued playing well on both sides of the court and finished the game with the final score of 44-18.
There were several Cardinals that made the scoring column as Kurt Siefert had 3, Jack Forbeck 3, Wil Freeland 5, Riley Schebler 4, Andrew Oesterling 17, Lleyton Ratcliffe 10, Sam Voegele 2 and Tyler Kuntz scored 2 after a nice give-and-go from Forbeck.
St Louis next game is Tuesday at St Michaels in Brookville with the 7th grade game starting at 6:00. The Cardinals next home game is this Thursday against Laurel at 6:00.
