The BMS 7th grade volleyball team started slow with a 25-10 loss to Sunman-Dearborn in the first game. In the 2nd game, they were more aggressive but still fell 25-20. At the net, Kylie Laker led the team with 3 kills. McKenna DeFreese and Nikki Fox each added 2 kills, while Laine Struewing placed a kill in the corner of the court.
The BMS 8th grade volleyball team battled Sunman-Dearborn but fell short in the end. Scores were 25-15; 23-25; 15-9. The team struggled to string service points and gain the momentum in the final, deciding game. Anna Bauer led the team with 11 service
points including 3 aces. Macy Prickel and Kayla Meyer each had 3 kills in the front line.
The teams will look to rebound as they face crosstown rival St. Louis at home.
