Bville Varsity 4 – SD 0
The Batesville Lady Bulldogs had a strong showing at South Dearborn on Thursday night. They pulled off a 4-0 victory over a good South Dearborn team. Emily Rose managed to score the only goal in the first half on a cross from Shelby Rupp that Rose gathered and buried in the back of the net. In the first half, South Dearborn was able to control much of the possession but Batesville still outshot them 8-3. In the 2nd half, the Lady Bulldogs went back to playing their game and dominated every part of the 2nd half. Shelby Rupp had a breakout performance netting all 3 Batesville goals in the 2nd half. All three goals were great shots from Rupp outside of the 18 yard box. “Shelby played great today. She is finally gaining the confidence to shot early and often and tonight she was rewarded for her efforts all season long. She now has 9 goals on the season and I look for her to add several more in the next 3 games.” Batesville’s defense played excellent all game long while limiting the Lady Knights to only 5 shots in the game and 2 in the 2nd half.
The Lady Bulldogs are now 8-4-1 on the season with 3 matches to play. Senior Day is Saturday morning at 10:00 against Franklin County. The senior recognition will take place at halftime.
