John David Cox, age 65, of Connersville, Indiana died unexpectedly early Thursday, November 5, 2026, at his residence.
Born November 8, 1960, in Batesville, Indiana he is the son of James F. & Joyce A. (Price) Cox. He was a graduate of the former Brookville High School with the class of 1979.
He had been employed at Ford and had also worked in construction for many years. In his leisure time he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.
He was a member of the Buena Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Jim & Joyce Cox of Brookville; a daughter, Sara (James) Corbello of Beverly Hills, Michigan, four grandchildren, Evelyn Corbello, Teddy Corbello, Jamison Wolford, Avery Wolford; as well as two brothers, J. Steven Cox of Brookville, Indiana and Ronald L. (Shannon) Cox of Fishers, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beulah Cox Foster, Vernon & Ula Maye Price; and two daughters, Heather Cox & Jenna Cox..
Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, November 9, 2026, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Rob Edwards will officiate the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon, Monday, November 9, 2026, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
