(Ripley County, IN) – Eastbound I-74 near Batesville was shut down overnight following a multi-vehicle crash.
It happened around 3:00 Friday morning between county roads 1500 North and 600 East.
All lanes reopened to traffic around 5:30 a.m.
No other information was available.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident shortly after the wreck was cleared, a vehicle fire in the westbound lanes between 600 East and 1500 North forced the closure of all lanes.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles says traffic was being directed through the rest area, and causing minimal delays (pictured).
He urged drivers to use caution going through the area and follow the direction of first responders.
