Boil Water Advisory in Batesville

(Batesville, IN) – A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for residents of Morton Way between State Road 46 and Benz Court in Batesville until further notice.

The advisory was issued following an overnight water main break on Morton.

Batesville Water Department crews were called to the scene shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday to shut off the water and make repairs.

A boil advisory is a precautionary measure issued by the water utility to alert customers when there is a potential for compromised water quality.

It is recommended that you boil all water used for drinking and for food preparation for two minutes.

Water used for laundry, showering, shaving, and watering grass or plants is safe to use without boiling.
