(Ripley County, IN) – Local students planning to pursue education after high school can start applying for scholarship money. The Ripley County Community Foundation opened its 2027 scholarship season Tuesday.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Feb. 1, 2027. The form is available at www.rccfonline.org.

The foundation manages dozens of scholarship funds created by local donors. The money can be used for nearly any type of post-secondary education, including four-year universities, community colleges, trade schools and specialized programs such as nursing.

Last year, the foundation awarded $150,231 in scholarships to Ripley County students.

“Scholarships are one of the most direct ways we can invest” in strengthening educational pathways for local students, said Amy Streator, the foundation’s executive director.

“Through the generosity of our donors, we are helping students pursue college, technical training, certifications, and other educational opportunities that prepare them for meaningful careers and successful futures,” Streator said. “We encourage every eligible student to explore the opportunities available and apply.”

Foundation officials urge students, parents and guidance counselors to start early so all materials are submitted before the deadline.
