(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) introduced a new pregnancy app on November 2, which the organization says gives expectant parents and families access to convenient, reliable information and helpful tools throughout pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, and early parenthood.

Made possible through the Hospital Foundation of Decatur County and its donors to the Dr. McCullough Fund, the app helps connect local families with educational resources they can access at any time through a mobile device or any internet-connected device.

“Pregnancy and early parenthood are filled with exciting moments, new experiences, and plenty of questions,” said DCMH board-certified OBGYN Jamie Cooper, DO, FACOG. “Having access to a trusted resource, available 24/7, can help families feel more prepared for the journey ahead.”

The app is designed to support families beyond pregnancy, featuring evidence-based information about prenatal care, labor and birth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care, including helpful videos.

Families can also find information about what to expect during their hospital stay at DCMH, available classes, local support resources, and practical tools such as a kick counter, contraction timer, personal journal, and feeding log.

All materials and resources are available in 18 different languages.

Resources are also available to support families experiencing pregnancy loss.

“We are excited to give families that extra support as they prepare to welcome a new baby,” said Dr. Cooper.

“Supporting the health of mothers and children helps build a healthier community,” said DCMH board-certified family medicine physician Mary McCullough, MD. “Healthy habits and good care during pregnancy and early childhood can help prevent long-term health problems and support lifelong wellness.”

Families can access the app through the mobile app or online. Registration is required before logging in and using the program.
