Re-Envision Grant Applications Open

(Batesville, IN) – Batesville Main Street, in partnership with the city’s Economic Development Commission, is accepting applications for the 2026 Batesville Main Street Re-Envision Grant.

The incentive-based program provides financial support to qualifying downtown building owners and tenants to activate unused or underused interior spaces for new retail, restaurant, or specialty shops, or to make permanent interior improvements that enhance the customer experience in existing businesses.

The Re-Envision Grant is available to eligible building owners and tenants within the Batesville Main Street District and operates as a dollar-for-dollar matching grant.

A total of $4,000 is available under the program.

Eligible projects may include permanent interior renovations, equipment, and improvements that prepare spaces for business growth or enhance existing retail, restaurant, and specialty shop offerings.

Previously completed projects are not eligible for funding.

The program supports Batesville Main Street’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the downtown business district, encourage investment in existing properties, and create an inviting destination for shopping and dining.

Applications will be reviewed based on the transformative nature of the proposed project and its overall benefit to the Main Street District, and are due November 20.

Approved projects must be completed by May 1, 2027, unless an extension is granted.

Applicants must submit at least one project quote on business letterhead and the required supporting documentation.

Grant funds are paid as reimbursement after eligible project expenses have been paid and the project has been completed.

Interested applicants are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements here and submit their completed applications by the November 20.

Applications may be delivered to the Batesville Main Street office at the Memorial Building, 132 S. Main Street in Batesville, or emailed to batesvilleinmainstreet@gmail.com.
