Tim Barrett, 66, of Versailles passed away at 1:20 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. He was born in Lawrenceburg on January 7, 1960, the son of Dilbert and Martha Feller Barrett. Survivors include his mother Mrs. Martha Barrett of Versailles; two sons Jamie Barrett and Justin (Renea) Barrett both of Versailles; two daughters Sondra (Jason) Cox of Osgood and Tiffany Barrett of Harrison, Ohio; 7 grandchildren and one great-grandson; one sister Marlene Smith of Westport. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister Elaine Ferrell. Mr. Barrett was a 1978 graduate of South Ripley High School. He was a 26- year employee of Print-Pack in Greensburg and was currently working at Wood Mizer in Batesville where he assembled sawmills. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, tending to his garden, hunting mushrooms and hunting ginseng. Tim was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship and also the Sons of the American Legion at Osgood. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Sherman Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Akers Cemetery at Friendship. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Bear Creek Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
