(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Council approved the 2027 budget at this week’s meeting.
The general fund totals $13,332,493.00.
County council also signed the “Project We Care” Proclamation.
Project We Care is an initiative spearheaded in Decatur County by Greensburg resident and former State Representative Cleo Duncan, in which care packages are collected and sent to active-duty servicemembers.
Each box sent to military bases and ships at home and overseas include essentials, treats, handwritten notes, prayers, and reminders that those serving in uniform are appreciated.
Duncan brought the project to county council’s attention several months ago.
