(Washington, D.C.) – Sen. Todd Young (R-IN) is out with an important reminder.
Sen. Young says the deadline for Hoosier families impacted by severe weather and flooding in August to apply for federal aid is coming up this Sunday, October 25.
President Donald Trump in August approved a major disaster declaration for Indiana following the severe storms and floods.
The approval makes both individual and public assistance available in multiple counties.
Franklin, Decatur and Dearborn counties are among those receiving assistance to individuals and households.
In addition, Franklin County is included among those receiving public assistance for emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities.
Hoosiers can apply for FEMA assistance at DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362.
