Elsewhere around the area, Class 1A #4 Milan hammered South Decatur 59-0. The Indians claim the MIFC championship; Greensburg dumped Jennings County 56-21; North Decatur rolled over Edinburgh 57-0; South Dearborn turned back Rushville 44-15, and it was Class 3A #2 Lawrenceburg all over Connersville 56-7.
The IHSAA high school football tournament pairings will be drawn tomorrow night. WRBI will have coverage through the IHSAA Champions Radio Network starting at 7 p.m.
Boys and girls soccer sectional championships are on the line on this Saturday. In boys action, Oldenburg Academy and South Ripley battle for the Class 1A Sectional 44 title at Rising Sun. Kickoff is at 7 p.m….On the girls side, it’s Trojans vs. Trojans when East Central faces Center Grove (Class 3A Sectional 13 at Whiteland); Greensburg takes on New Castle (Class 2A Sectional 26 at Rushville); Batesville meets EIAC rival South Dearborn (Class 2A Sectional 29 at Madison), and Oldenburg Academy goes against Switzerland County (Class 1A Sectional 44 at Rising Sun). All of the girls sectional championship matches kick off at 2 p.m.
