Mark R. Redelman, 71

Mark R. Redelman, 71, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026. He was born on October 15, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Albin John and Edna Bedel Redelman. He was a 1972 graduate of South Decatur High School.
Mark was a man of many talents and many interests. He was a member of the Millhousen Volunteer Fire Department and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mark was a talented musician who enjoyed singing and playing bass. He was a former member of Leapin’ Lizzards, Slo Kruz, and Three Wheel Drive. He was the owner of Redelman Shepherds and trained German Shepherds for search and rescue and cadaver locating. He was active in the Red Cross and was often seen at health and safety fairs across the state helping interactions with children and dog safety. He had a “Gift for Gab” and man, was he quick-witted. Throughout his life, he wore many hats and worked in a variety of fields, including at Coyote Run Kennel, Redelman Shepherds, and Redelman Farms. He later worked as a truck driver for Allegiant Trucking.
Those who knew Mark will remember him as a true “Jack of all trades, King of nothing,” a phrase that captured his independent spirit, his willingness to try just about anything, and his unique sense of humor.
Mark is survived by his children, Christopher Redelman, Nick Redelman, Crystal (Jeremy) Moore, Lisa Redelman, Tammy Shreve; grandchildren, Thomas Redelman, Felicity Redelman, Jayda Redelman, Josilyn Redelman, Annika Redelman, Dakota Moore, Ethan Moore, Robert Moore, Lauren Peetz, Sarah Shreve, Chloe Shreve, Sophie Shreve; sister, Gerri White; niece, Shana (Andrew) Richmond; as well as three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and former spouse Nancy Redelman.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 9:30 am until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Deacon Brad Anderson will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Hebron Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greensburg Decatur County Animal Shelter.
