Batesville Middle School volleyball swept Benjamin Rush at the Dawg Pound on Monday night.
It was the 7th Bulldogs winning in two sets, 25-15, 25-13.
“Top servers were Kalli Craig with 12 points including 7 aces. Emily Volz had 6 points with 2 aces. Chesney Placke and Ava Gunter chipped in 4 points each. Aubrey Kruthaupt and Lila Wade earned 3 points each. Eve Flannery, Brenna McCleary, and Cora Koehne all had 1 service point. Eve Flannery earned 3 kills. Ava Gunter had 2 kills. While Lucy Bailie, Emily Volz, and Bailey Wendelman all earned a kill,” said Batesville 7th grade coach Angie Ehrman.
The BMS 8th grade squad posted its 10th win of the year with a two-set victory over the Lion Cubs, 25-14, 25-19.
“Tori Meyer was 15 for 15 from the service line scoring 12 points including 3 aces, while Emma Campbell contributed 8 points while perfect on all 10 of her service attempts. Bailee Adams finished set 1 scoring 3 consecutive points including an ace. Lauren Ollier recorded 4 kills in 8 spiking attempts to lead the team,” said Bulldog 8th grade coach Shelly Prickel. “Emma Campbell and Hannah Bruns showed some solid power with 3 kills apiece. Cali Oesterling played well all the way around and added 2 kills at the net. Offensively, Aubree Roell and Bailee Adams each earned a kill.”
Both squads visit Jennings County Tuesday evening before closing out the regular season at home against Connersville.
