Izaiah Taft Mathews, 20, of Milan passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Izaiah was born on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in Lawrenceburg; son of Carroll Mathews and Hollie (Howe) Robers. He worked as a dietary aide at The Waters of Dillsboro-Ross Manor. Izaiah was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillsboro. Izaiah loved collecting oddities, swords, gaming, and enjoyed listening to all types of music. He also enjoyed going fishing, going on camping trips, and boating.
Izaiah will be dearly missed by his father Carroll Mathews of Milan; mother Hollie (Nikita) Robers of Dillsboro; sister Jordan (Dalton) Hornberger of Sunman; brother Kalyb Selmeyer of Harrison, OH and many cousins, friends, and family members.
Izaiah was preceded in death by his grandmother Shelley Love.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Izaiah from 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Richard Kolaskey officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Izaiah to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
