Nicholas Craig “Nick” Weiler

Nicholas Craig “Nick” Weiler, age 43 of Sunman, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Born July 30, 1983, in Batesville, Indiana, he is the son of Allen and Robin (Nee: Hornberger) Weiler.  He married Jessica Ann Doll on August 2, 2008, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Peter’s. Indiana.

Nick was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and worked as an Assembler at Woodmizer in Batesville.

The farm he grew up on shaped him, and he carried that love forward as he continued farming. He could often be found tinkering with his Allis Chalmers tractors, mowers, go carts, etc. Nick loved nothing more than spending time with his kids and teaching them something new every chance he got.

After battling cancer for three years and fighting with every ounce of strength he had, his top priority never changed: he tried to be there for everything his children and his wife needed. Family was his anchor, and he showed it in every moment he could. He believed in teaching his children life tactics, the kind that prepare you for anything, because as he always said, “you never know when you’ll need it.”

His hands were rarely still, his heart always full, and his legacy lives on in the skills, stories, and strength he passed down to those he loved most.

He is survived by his wife Jessica of Sunman; children Allison, Garrett, and Macie Weiler, all at home; parents Allen and Robin Weiler of Sunman; sisters Tonya (Eric) Hudepohl, Valarie (Aaron) Hoff, and Josie (Bryan) Bonilla, all of Batesville; brothers Michael (Nicole) Weiler of Sunman and Jacob (Samantha) Weiler of Milan, Indiana; father-in-law Dan Doll of Sunman, in-laws Jennifer (Josh) Hall, Kevin (Mary) Doll, Becky (Zach) Henderson; maternal grandmother Shirley Craig as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Nick was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Mary Lou Doll, maternal grandfather Robert Hornberger, paternal grandparents Vincent and Leona Weiler along with his Uncle Stephen Weiler.
