(Batesville, IN) – Batesville’s Liberty Park will be the site again this year for the Paws for a Purpose walk-your-dog fundraiser.
It will be held on Saturday, October 3 starting at 10 a.m.
Proceeds from the event support the Riley Duerstock Nursing Scholarship, created to honor her memory by helping Batesville graduates pursue careers in nursing.
The scholarship is named in memory of Riley Duerstock, a nursing student and dog lover who lost her life to a drunk driver in 2023.
It’s administered by the Ripley County Community Foundation.
