
Carolyn Sue (Parsons) Pieper, 76, of Milan passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Carolyn was born on Saturday, March 18, 1950, in Milan; daughter of Joseph and Mary (Grossman) Parsons. Carolyn married the love of her life, Johnny Wayne Pieper, on June 24, 1972, and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2022. Carolyn was a second and third grade teacher at Milan Elementary School for 35 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillsboro, Retired Teachers Association, and American Cancer Society. She loved going on family vacations to St. Augustine, Florida and going golfing. She also enjoyed planting flowers and taking care of her garden. Most of all Carolyn cherished time spent with her family, especially spending time with all of her grandkids.
Carolyn will be missed by her son Corey (Angela) Pieper of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters Megan (Scott) Schaefer of Batesville and Amanda (Ricky Jr.) Pieper-Andrew of Milan; and grandchildren Sydnee, Chloe, Cady, Max, and Sophie.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Parsons; husband Johnny Wayne Pieper; and son Blaine Pieper.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Carolyn from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Kolaskey officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Carolyn to the Milan Volunteer Fire Department.
