Batesville Middle School volleyball went on the road and swept Greendale on Thursday evening.
The Bulldog 8th graders won in three sets: 25-21 (BMS), 25-24 (G), 15-11 (BMS).
“Lauren Ollier and Emma Campbell were both perfect on all 13 of their service attempts earning 8 points including 2 aces and 7 points including an ace respectively. Tori Meyer chipped in 7 points with an ace, while Addison Glaub served 3 big aces in the deciding set to help secure the win. Lauren Ollier was dominant at the net pounding 9 kills in 17 swings and added a stuff block. Hannah Bruns and Emma Campbell each earned 3 kills in the front line. Cali Oesterling contributed 2 kills, while Lillian Hixson added both a kill and a block. Aubrey Roell and Zoe Bolser each earned one kill in the winning effort. Tessa Rowlett, Emma Campbell, and Bailee Adams led the team in digs and serve reception in the back row. Sydney Holtkamp dished out 8 assists, while Tori Meyer had 5 assists in the match.” — coach Shelly Prickel.
They are now 3 and 1 on the season.
BMS came out on top in 7th grade play: 25-23 (B), 25-24 (G), 15-13 (B).
“Lila Wade, Chesney Placke, and Maddie Dole played solid in the back row against the Tiger’s attack. Lila Wade led with 4 kills. Vivian Duty had 3 kills. Lucy Bailie and Emily Volz chipped in 2 kills each. While Aubrey Kruthaupt and Eve Flannery each had a kill. From the service line Emily Volz led with 18 for 18 serving, earning 11 points including 5 aces. Bailey Wendelman added 8 points. Aubrey Kruthaupt chipped in 6 points including 2 points. Lila earned 4 points in the win. Cora Koehne had 3 points and Ava Gunter had 2. ” — coach Angie Ehrman.
