Batesville Middle School cross country ran in the 29-team Greensburg Invitational on Monday evening.
The Bulldog girls came in fourth overall in their race while the boys squad finished 13th.
The BMS boys were led by seventh grader Simon Brelage, who placed 31st in a field of 169 runners in the varsity boys race.
Other varsity boys who participated were Asher Black in 55th place, Grant Luhman 68th, Salvador Schutte 83rd, Anze Vicente 86th, Benton Skinner 87th, and Gavin Linville in 98th.
In the girls varsity race, eighth grader Emmalynn Allgeier set the pace early for Batesville and battled to a 3rd place finish for a medal.
Sixth grader Molly Walter also received a medal with her 9th place finish.
Earning a ribbon was Anna Ollier, who placed 24th.
Eisley Peters was the next Bulldog to cross the finish line in 38th place followed by Addi Fogle in 51st, Maddie Balash 53rd, and Emma Robben in 73rd place.
The girls varsity team finished with a total of 122 points and missed 3rd place by 1 point to St. Mary’s, which had 121 points.
Reserve runners for the Bulldogs who earned ribbons for Top 15 finishes were John Hohenstein (15th in the boys race); Ava McMullen (8th place, girls); Kinley Lanham (13th), and Sydney Stoneking (14th).
