(St. Leon, IN) – East Central FCCLA members Olivia Lyness, Ellie Wolf, and Annabelle Edmonds have been awarded a $2,000 Operation Round Up grant from Southeastern Indiana REMC to support the Sunman Open Door Food Pantry.

EC’s FCCLA and FFA chapters launched the initiative at the Sunman Community Park last October to provide food, hygiene products, and essential supplies to anyone in need.

The Sunman Open Door Food Pantry is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“These students are helping make a difference in our community by working to expand the resources available through the pantry. The grant funding will help provide much-needed food, household cleaning supplies, and other essential items for individuals and families in the Sunman community,” said East Central FCCLA in a statement. “We are incredibly grateful to Southeastern Indiana REMC and Operation Round Up for investing in our students and supporting their commitment to serving others.
