Francis Aloysius Hartman came into the world on Sunday, August 9 – one day after the $125 million facility started seeing patients – to parents Brooklynn and Justin Hartman of Batesville.
Dr. Emily Housley and Dr. Kelley Fitzpatrick delivered Francis via C-Section.
He weighed 10 pounds, seven ounces and measured 21 1/2 inches long.
The proud parents are both teachers in the area.
With an August 6 due date, which fell close to the opening of the new hospital, the Hartmans say they knew there was a chance their son would be among the first babies delivered there.
“Everyone we encountered was top-notch. We felt confident delivering at the new hospital because we knew the same amazing team would be there to care for us,” said Brooklynn and Justin Hartman.
