Norman “Tom” Ogden, 80

Norman “Tom” Ogden, 80, of Greensburg, passed away on August 7, 2026. He was born on November 2, 1945, in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of Daniel and Eva (White) Ogden. Tom was a 1967 graduate of Greensburg High School. For over ten years he held a maintenance position at BCA and after leaving there provided janitorial services for multiple businesses in the Greensburg area.

Tom married the love of his life Sherrill Fletcher on February 10, 1973, and together they had four children, Melanie, Marita, Michael and Michelle.

Tom will be remembered most for his charismatic personality, witty humor, and the relationships he built with everyone around him. He was someone who never knew a stranger. In his free time, he enjoyed watching old westerns, playing board games, and sharing stories with loved ones (occasionally with a few white lies sprinkled in).

Survivors include: wife, Sherrill Ogden, children, Melanie Woodard, Marita (Jason) McCulley, Mike (Katy) Ogden and Michelle Ogden; grandchildren, Wesley Woodard, Kenzie Ogden, Kacie Ogden, and Kayelee Ogden; brothers, Paul Ogden and Jerry Ogden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Eva Ogden; son-in-law, Wes Woodard; grandson, Seth Woodard; siblings, Viola Zeigler, Dorothy Huber, Deloris Voiles, Charles Ogden, Robert Ogden, Carl Ogden and Eddie Ogden.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 am at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, followed by the funeral at 1:00 pm. Pastor Daniel Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.
