(Batesville, IN) – The Indiana Department of Transportation says it’s working to address issues in the asphalt paving work zone on State Road 46 in the Batesville area, particularly near Pearl Street and extending west toward Morris.
The agency says paving work began in the impacted area over the weekend with no issues.
But INDOT was notified Tuesday afternoon of vehicles driving through the work zone sustaining damage as pavement became detached from the milled surface.
The cause of detachment is currently unknown, according to the agency.
Traffic has been moved to an unaffected area of the work zone.
INDOT says it’s investigating and will continue to monitor the roadway.
Drivers who were impacted by pavement issues in this area are asked to contact INDOT’s Customer Service Center at INDOT4U.com or 1-855-INDOT4U (463-6848).
