The Reds hammered the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-2 in downtown Cincinnati in a game heard yesterday on WRBI. Cincinnati takes three out of four in the weekend series. Chase Burns notched his 13th win of the year. He gave up two hits, one earned run and two walks with nine strikeouts, including the 200th of his career. Burns has won 12 straight decision. Sal Stewart clubbed his 24th home run. Tyler Stephenson and former Pirate Ke’Bryan Hayes also homered. Stephenson, Elly De La Cruz and Nathaniel Lowe drove in two runs a piece. After an off day today, the Reds’ homestand resumes with the first of a three-game series tomorrow night against the Athletics. Airtime is 6:10 on 103.9 FM.

The Minnesota Lynx got past the Indiana Fever 108-100 in WNBA action yesterday in Minneapolis. Kelsey Mitchell tossed in a game-high 37 points. Caitlin Clark recorded a double-double when she scored 19 and dished out 10 assists. Aliyah Boston added 15 points. The loss snaps the Fever’s five-game winning streak and drops their record to 19-11. Indiana returns home to face the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces on Thursday night.
