(Ripley County, IN) – The Ripley County Community Foundation has awarded $5,394 in Small Project Grants to four local organizations during the second quarter of 2026.
The funded projects support recreation, youth development, and community engagement while addressing needs throughout Ripley County.
“Every grant represents an investment in local nonprofits whose work strengthens Ripley County. These awards help organizations expand their impact and make our community an even better place to live, work, and raise a family,” said RCCF Grants Manager Brady Westerfeld.
Small grant recipients are:
Midwest Equine Trail Foundation, Inc. – In partnership with the Indiana Trail Riders Association, grant funds will be used to repair a 4,000-foot section of the public Horse Trail “A” located in Versailles State Park.
Ripley County Indiana Historical Society – Funding will introduce the Wreaths Across America TEACH program to Ripley County eighth-grade students, helping connect local youth with lessons in service, character, and American history.
Shelby Christian Church – Grant funds will help offset the cost of constructing a community playground featuring a play set, nine-square, and gaga pit.
Southeastern Indiana YMCA – Funded supported the organization’s July 25 “Community Day,” a free, family-friendly event designed to bring people together, strengthen community connections, and showcase the YMCA’s commitment to serving all members of the community.

Through the Small Project Grant program, the Ripley County Community Foundation provides flexible funding that allows nonprofits to respond quickly to emerging needs and opportunities.
These investments help local organizations launch new initiatives, strengthen existing programs, and improve the quality of life throughout Ripley County.
