All-Star pitcher Chase Burns and the Reds have agreed on a seven-year, $105 million contract extension that will begin next year and run through 2033. There are no options or deferrals included. Burns is 11-1 with a 2.54 ERA in 18 starts and 102 2/3 innings this season and is viewed as a contender for the National League Cy Young Award.

The 2027 schedule has been released. In the earliest Opening Day ever, the Reds will host the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, March 25 at Great American Ball Park.

The Indiana Fever continues a four-game homestand against the Seattle Storm in WNBA action tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. It’s the first of a back-to-back; the Fever will entertain New York on Saturday. Tipoff tonight is at 7:30.
