(Batesville, IN) – Batesville Parks and Recreation is working on a new five-year master plan.
Residents are asked to take a short survey to let the department know what they would like to see in the city’s parks in the coming years.
Parks Commissioner Mike Baumer says if you see an orange wood easel with Batesville Parks five-year master plan information, you’re asked to scan the QR code and take the survey.
If you don’t have time, he says you can grab a business card containing the QR code, take it with you, and complete the survey when it’s more convenient.
When finished, you’re urged to pass the card to others so they can take the survey.
“This is a great way to know what the citizens like, don’t like, want to see improved or added to the parks system,” he said in a written statement.

New Exercise Equipment
An area near the Liberty Park playground will soon be home to new outdoor exercise equipment, thanks to grants and donations.
Batesville Parks and Recreation says a concrete slab will be poured soon, and the new equipment is on the way.
Brum Woods Workday
The next Brum Woods volunteer workday is scheduled for this Saturday, July 18, weather permitting.
It starts at 8 a.m., and volunteers are asked to meet at the gravel parking lot near the shed.
