(Oldenburg, IN) – The Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, in partnership with RDOOR Housing Corporation, will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for Spires Senior Village on July 1, at 9:30 a.m. in front of Theresa Hall on Vine Street.
The Sisters say the Spires Senior Village is a transformative housing initiative that will bring new life and purpose to Theresa and Olivia halls.
Through this initiative, RDOOR has a $21 million investment from the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Historic Tax Credit, and HUD 202 programs.

Upon completion, Spires Senior Village will offer 67 one-bedroom apartments designed to provide housing for older adults seeking independent living within a supportive community.
As part of the housing agreement, residents must be 62 years of age or older, pass a background and credit check, and be income-qualified for all but five market-rate apartments.
The project is expected to be complete in late 2027.
In addition, the former chapel in Olivia Hall will become an Adult Day Care Center operated by Catholic Charities.
Open to members of the public, the center will provide services and support for older adults and their families.
