Heat Advisory In Effect Starting Monday

(Southeastern IN) – A Heat Advisory will be in effect from Noon Monday until Thursday at 8 p.m.

Heat indexes values up to 105 are expected.

Forecasters say hot temperatures combined with high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

You’re urged to drink plenty of liquids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

In addition, forecasters say you should take extra precautions when outside, such as wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, and trying to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.

You’re urged to take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
