Flood Watch Through Saturday Morning

(Southeastern IN) – A Flood Watch will be in effect this afternoon through Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service says flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

Forecasters add excessive runoff may result in the flooding of rivers, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone areas.

People living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

You’re urged to monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.

Meanwhile, the Rusty Bladen concert scheduled for tonight on the event lawn outside the Batesville Memorial Public Library’s Arts and Innovation Hub has been postponed because of expected rainy weather.

The concert has been rescheduled for July 10 at 6:30 p.m.
