Meyer to Retire as Pastor

(Greensburg, IN) – St. Mary’s Parish in Greensburg will celebrate the retirement of longtime pastor Father John A. Meyer with an open reception later this month.

The reception is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2026, following the 10 a.m. Mass. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the St. Mary School gym, located at 1331 Hunter Robbins Way in Greensburg.

Meyer is retiring July 1 after 44 years of faithful service. Parishioners, friends and community members are invited to stop by the open reception to thank him and wish him well.

The parish has also announced a meet-and-greet for its new pastor, Father Stephen Giannini, on July 11 and 12 after each Mass.

Donuts and drinks will be served during the meet-and-greet. Parishioners are encouraged to introduce themselves and welcome Giannini as he begins his ministry with St. Mary’s Parish.
