The Milwaukee Brewers shut out the Reds 2-0 at Great American Ball Park in a game heard last night on WRBI. The Reds were held to two hits for the second consecutive game. Nick Lodolo left after four innings with a left wrist contusion. He was struck by a comebacker to the mound. Lodolo gave up two hits and a walk while striking out six. Julian Garcia took the loss in his Major League debut after giving up the winning run, but struck out three. The Reds look to avoid the series sweep tonight. Elly De La Cruz returned from the injured list (right hamstring strain) and went 0-for-3. He was activated yesterday and outfielder Will Benson was optioned to Triple-A. The Reds also transferred the rehab assignment of pitcher Hunter Greene (right elbow surgery) to Louisville.

The Indiana Fever and Phoenix Mercury meet in the second of their back-to-back games tonight in downtown Indianapolis. Indiana won the opener 86-77 on Monday night. Tipoff is at 7:30.

The NFL informed former Indiana and UC quarterback Brendan Sorsby that a supplemental draft will not take place this year, and encouraged him to try for the 2027 draft. Sorsby admitted to a long period of sports betting on college and pro teams, with bets totaling over $90,000. Among those bets were some on IU Hoosiers football during his time in Bloomington. His attorney is threatening legal action against the NFL.
