(Franklin County, IN) – The Franklin County Water Association has issued a Boil Advisory for residents of Johnson Fork Road between Sharptown and Mortashed roads in the southeastern part of the county, due to a water main break.
Affected homes will receive notices on their front doors, according to the water association.
The advisory is in place until further notice.
A boil advisory is a precautionary measure issued by the water utility to alert customers when there is a potential for compromised water quality.
It is recommended that you boil all water used for drinking and for food preparation for two minutes.
Water used for laundry, showering, shaving, and watering grass or plants is safe to use without boiling.
