Tree County Players brings a Broadway revue and a youth theater camp to Greensburg this summer
(Greensburg, IN) — If you’ve ever watched a kid light up on stage, you know there’s nothing quite like it. This summer, Tree County Players is offering two opportunities for that magic to happen — a Broadway showcase for young adults and a three-day theater camp for kids and teens.
The Greensburg-based community theater group announced both events this week, and the calendar fills up fast.
First up: A Broadway revue this weekend
Dreams in the Spotlight: A Young Adult Broadway Revue hits the Tree County Playhouse stage June 25–27. Young adult performers will take on songs from their dream Broadway roles — think big voices, big emotions and bucket-list material from some of musical theater’s most iconic shows.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. on June 25 and 26, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on June 27. The production is directed by Amanda Gault, with musical direction by Morgan Straber.
Tickets are available online at treecountyplayers.com/dreamsinthespotlight and at the door before each performance.
Then: A summer camp with a mystery twist
Registration is open for the 2026 Youth Theater Camp, running July 22–24 at the TCP Playhouse — and this year’s theme is “Who Dunnit?” The camp, also directed by Straber, leans into improv and mystery to give young performers a chance to create, collaborate and find their stage presence.
The camp is divided into two age groups to ensure instruction is appropriately tailored:
- Ages 7–11 (11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) — Stage time, theater games, and a skit or improvised mystery: $30
- Ages 12–17 (1–3:30 p.m.) — Improvised mysteries, character creation, monologue work and more: $50
All campers go home with a souvenir t-shirt. The registration deadline is July 15.
