A confirmed EF-2 tornado touched down early Thursday in the Drewersburg area in Franklin County and damaged eight to 10 homes.
“Many Hoosier communities were impacted by the severe weather that swept through our state this week. This emergency declaration ensures that every available state resource is mobilized quickly to support response efforts, help local governments address urgent needs, and help Hoosiers recover,” Gov. Braun said.
The 30-day emergency declaration immediately mobilizes state resources and unlocks financial aid through the State Disaster Relief Fund to help families and local governments recover from severe flooding and tornadic activity.
