Mason McNew was honored at Monday night’s South Ripley School Board meeting for being selected the Ohio River Valley Conference Mental Attitude Award winner in baseball.
He is a recent South Ripley High School graduate who played first base, shortstop and pitched this past season for the Raiders of head coach Brian Smith.
McNew plans to continue his academic and athlete pursuits at Trine University in Angola, IN.
