Jordan M. Walters, 33, and Sierra Nicole Walters, 33 of Milan passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 as the result of an automobile accident near Moores Hill. Jordan was born in Lawrenceburg on September 13, 1992, the son of Bobby Walters and Robin Stearns. Sierra was born in Batesville on December 15, 1992, the daughter of Woody and Kristina Guerra Pope. Jordan and Sierra were married to on September 22, 2018. The light of their lives were their sons, six-year-old Knight Matthew Walters and four-year-old Kyro Maddox Walters, who both survive. Jordan is also survived by his parents Bobby Walters and Robin Stearns of Versailles; his twin brother Jerad and his wife Jessica of Greenwood; Grandmother Rosella Trowbaugh of Versailles; Uncles Steve Renfro of Lawrenceburg and Mike Walters of Butlerville. He was preceded in death by his brother Chandler Stearns and his paternal grandparents Lawrence and Sylvia Walters. Sierra is also survived by her parents Woody and Kristina Pope of Osgood; her sister Isabella Pope of Milan; brother Michael Pope of Versailles; maternal grandmother Nancy Guerra of Osgood, and maternal grandfather Sam Guerra of Osgood. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents George and Doris Pope. Jordan was a 2011 graduate of South Ripley High School. Jordan served in the National Guard from June 22, 2015 until June 21, 2022. He rose to the rank of (Spc.), serving with the MOS 91C Utilities Equipment Repair Unit. For service to his country Jordan received the National Service Defense Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Component Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, and the Indiana Overseas Ribbon. In civilian life Jordan was a driver for UPS. He enjoyed bowling and golf, but the greatest joy in his life was his family and coaching his son in basketball, soccer, and baseball in the Milan Youth Leagues. Sierra was a 2011 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School and operated an in-home daycare where her children affectionately knew her as Ci-Ci. She enjoyed taking the boys to their ball games, the library, and Sierra excelled in doing crafts. Funeral services for Jordan and Sierra will be held on Thursday, June 18 at 11 a.m. at the Versailles Baptist Church Family Life Center with Pastor Danny Horn officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery where military honors for Jordan will be given by the Versailles American Legion. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the church. Memorials may be given to their children or to the Cliff Hill Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
