(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County REMC announced results of the 2026 Board of Directors election at the electric cooperative’s annual meeting on Friday at Greensburg Elementary.
Elected were Steve Nobbe in District 3; Steve AmRhein in District 4, and Jason Barnhorst in District 7.
All three were incumbents.
Elected to the nominating committee were Courtney Crowe in District 1; Phil Bennett in District 2, and Deric Hudson in District 5.

Decatur County REMC CEO Brett Abplanalp says PowerStream Fiber internet installation has been a success.
“Today, we have about 400, close to 450 new members signed up for that,” Abplanalp said. “We’re waiting on our application, or basically, our contract from the state to get going on Phase 2, which we’re being told, we’ll see that in the next week. So really good things are going on there.”
The first phase of the PowerStream Fiber installation in Decatur and Ripley counties is targeted for completion this September.
The electric co-op also awarded scholarships to Julia Meyer, Avalyn Stricker, and Catherine Bradshaw (pictured).
