Crystal Lynn Haas, age 38, of Madison, Indiana, and Switzerland County, Indiana, was born on March 12, 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of Cynthia Marie “Cindy” Massong. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 2008 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Crystal attended Ivy Tech Community College in Madison, Indiana, for a few years. She was a former laundry attendant for Rising Star Casino & Resort in Rising Sun, Indiana, from 2008-2009. She was later employed at the Waters of Rising Sun from 2009-2011. She also worked as the shift manager for Snappy Tomato Pizza for over a year. Crystal was later employed at Madison Tool & Dye, from 2017-2018. She was also the former general manager at Circle K from 2021-2023. Crystal also worked in housekeeping for Clifty Inn for a few years. Crystal was currently working for ISS Facility Services in Madison, Indiana. Crystal’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children deeply and cherished every moment spent raising them and creating lasting memories together. Crystal enjoyed relaxing with her favorite television shows, especially the beloved sitcom Friends, which never failed to bring a smile to her face. Crystal passed away at 2:47 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Crystal will be deeply missed by her fiancé of over 15 years, Robbie McKenzie of Madison, IN; her children, Noah, Carter, Connor, and Ethan all of Madison, IN; her brother, Michael Haas of Madison, IN; her sister, Kami Jo Haas and her companion, Michael Wilson of Patriot, IN; her nieces and nephews, Jordyn Turner, Lincoln Haas, Oliver Haas, Hazel Haas, and Jasper Wilson; her aunt and uncles, George and Tracey Massong, and Gary Marcum; her great aunts and great uncles; her cousins; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Marie “Cindy” Massong, died January 8, 2022; her step-father that raised her, Ernest Carl “Ernie” Chase, died March 7, 2024; her maternal-grandparents, George Stanley Massong, died June 28, 2010 and Betty Jean (Davis) Massong, died November 30, 2025; and her several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
