Brian Dale Powers, of Osgood passed away at his home on June 12, 2026, at the age of 60. He was born on April 14, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He left this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Brian was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Marjorie Powers, and his brother, Johnny D. Powers, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms on the other side.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie Powers, whom he married on July 4, 2010, in a celebration of love and companionship that would become the cornerstone of their lives. Together, they shared a passion for hunting, often venturing into the wilderness side by side, finding solace and joy in nature’s embrace. He is also survived by brother Bill McGowen and sister Cindy Johnson.
Brian was a proud father to his daughter, Heather Carman, and a cherished stepfather to Justeven Hawkins. His love knew no bounds, extending to his grandson, Brayden Powers, and great-grandson, Jordan Powers, who brought him immense pride and happiness. Family gatherings were filled with laughter and stories, as Brian had a unique talent for making everyone feel welcome and valued.
A graduate of Ben Davis High School, Brian found his calling as a radio and CB technician, working alongside his parents. Later, he dedicated a decade of his life to Honda, where his colleagues admired his work ethic and good-natured humor. Brian’s quick wit and warm smile were his trademarks, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood and a kind word to uplift those around him.
Brian’s kindness and generosity knew no bounds. His presence was a beacon of light to all who knew him, and his ability to touch lives with his genuine care and thoughtfulness was unparalleled. His memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
In honoring Brian’s life, we celebrate a man who lived fully and loved deeply. May his spirit continue to inspire us to cherish every moment and to spread kindness wherever we go.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and honor the legacy of a truly remarkable man.
