Thomas “Tom” John Davis, 76, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Tom was born on September 23, 1949, in Hillsdale, Michigan, the son of John Roy Davis and Anna Belle (Callis) Davis.
Following his graduation from high school, Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army. After completing his military service, he continued his education and earned a master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
Tom built a successful career in the banking industry, specializing in audits and insurance. Following his banking career, he worked for Atlas Cold Storage until his retirement.
Tom found joy in many things throughout his life, but one of his greatest passions was collecting antique toy tractors, especially metal models from the 1960s. He took great pride in his collection and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with fellow collectors, friends, and family.
On July 18, 2009, Tom married Paula Sue Cooper, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Paula, Tom is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Davis and Joseph (Anne) Davis; stepchildren, Bradley Baker and Curtis Baker; step-grandchildren, Klayton Baker, Kirstin Baker, and Spencer Baker; and sisters, Susan Davis and Cathy Amboy.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, John Roy and Anna Belle Davis.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Anew Hospice or the Greensburg Decatur County Animal Shelter.
