Locals Vying for State FFA Officer Spots

(Indianapolis, IN) – Two area FFA members will compete for 2026-27 state officer spots.

Jeanna Crawford from Franklin County High School and North Decatur’s Garrett Schwering are among 17 in the running for seven state officer positions during the 97th Indiana FFA State Convention.

Those who are elected will fill roles as president, secretary, northern region vice president, southern region vice president, treasurer, reporter and sentinel.

As part of officer duties, those elected will oversee the development of chapters and provide direction during events and contests.

They will also visit FFA chapters, host career and leadership development events and execute leadership conferences.

“Competing for an FFA officer position is a commitment to leadership, service and representing the values that define FFA,” said Don Lamb, director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. “I wish each candidate the best, and I am excited to see how the individuals chosen will continue to strengthen FFA and their local communities.”

The 2026–2027 Indiana FFA State Officer Team will be announced during the final session of the Indiana FFA State Convention and shared on inffa.org as well as Indiana FFA’s social media channels.

The 2026 State Convention will be held on June 15-18 at the Riverview Health Arena at Innovation Mile in Noblesville.
