(Decatur County, IN) – A Milan woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident in Decatur County on Monday morning around 8:22 a.m.
The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office says a 2010 Toyota four-door vehicle driven by 34-year-old Brittany Richmond was stopped for a red light on northbound State Road 3 at the intersection with County Road 250 West when a 2021 International truck, also northbound on 3, driven by 23-year-old Harmeet Singh of Indianapolis struck the back of her vehicle.
The collision caused Richmond’s vehicle to spin 180 degrees, and it came to rest facing south.
Richmond was transported to Decatur County Memorial Hospital, and subsequently flown to an Indianapolis hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Singh was not hurt.
Both Richmond and Singh were the lone occupants of their vehicles.
The investigation continues.
Sheriff’s deputies received assistance from the Greensburg police and fire departments; Decatur County EMS; Decatur County Communications; Tim’s Wrecker Service, and TDS Towing Services.
